I’ve been an English teacher for over five years. I’ve taught in secondary schools, universities, and for several NGOs in Lebanon and Turkey. I founded English Mastered in 2021 because I kept meeting the same person: an Arabic speaker who'd studied English for years and still froze the moment they had to use it.
I know that freeze. Arabic is my first language, and I learned English exactly the way my students do. I know the sound your mouth defaults to, the word order your brain reaches for, and that rule that “should” work but doesn’t. That’s what years of textbooks can’t give you — and it’s the whole reason English Mastered exists.
I studied English Language and Literature at Lebanese University, where I also earned my Teaching Diploma. I attended the TESOL 2024 conference in Tampa, Florida, and participated in Eurasia Foundation's English Language Exchange for Lebanon, a professional development exchange in the U.S. for Lebanese English teachers. I also completed online course design training at Arizona State University.
